So it's that time of the year again. The Christmas tree is up, my work shirt is sporting an awesome Christmas sheep, and presents are being organised.
Here is my Christmas list. Ben will probably manage what's been bought and not, so get in touch with him (I haven't actually warned/told him about this yet).

| ACT Election - no one actually cares |

So the ACT election was on today. We headed out to vote at about 8am (I was working from 9-6) and was suprised to see... no one there. Seriously, when we voted in the Federal election around the same time, we stood in a line for 15-20min. This time, we walked in, voted and walked out in about 5min.
However, check out the Sim Challenge on the RiotACT site. A bunch of candidates turned up one by one in some bar to play Sim City for 3 hours. The video editing is seriously gay as fuck, but an interesting read anyway. Note Greg Tannahill, the gamer independent for Mongolo and Shane Rattenbury, the Green who's getting a seat in Mongolo.
PS Looks like Greens are set for 3 seats (out of 14). Pretty good effort, hippies. (Not that anyone cares!)
On another note, looks like I'm not going to be an aunty afterall :( |

I had the house to myself. This is great, and I can eat what I please for dinner. There's about 10 billion less dishes to wash, and about 5 billion fewer dirty clothes. However, it's cold >.<

So to top off a kind of shitty day yesterday, where I had to work a 9 hour shift on my day off, a guy came into the back room at work and stole almost $700 of cash, I think my WoW account got hacked. I got a 72-hour ban for using 3rd party exploits, and a notice to say my password was reset.

I have a lot of trouble with shoulder/neck pain, which gives me pretty frequent headaches. I did used to have a little shop-bought wheat pack thing, but it got fried in the old microwave. So I made myself a newer, better one!

As a respectable goth, I hate the light, especially when I'm trying to sleep. Thus, I wear one of those handy eye mask things to bed. You know the ones.
However, all the ones I've owned were pretty crap. They all had elastic to go around the back of your head, which always stretched, meaning that I'd have to tie a series of knots in the elastic to get it to not fall off my face during the night. Most were made of nasty polyester fabrics, which, when sweated upon, wouldn't absorb anything, and you'd spend the night with a face full of sweat. Gross and smelly.
So, I thought, I can do better than that! And so I did.

Living in a tiny place, with a lot of crap, we've been adventuring on some space saving/gaining ideas. I bought a few cheapo boxes from Big W and stuck pretty pictures from old calendars on them. They now hold all my craft/art bits and pieces so we can actually < gasp > put books on the book case.
Pretty boring stuff.
